This Thursday at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Oxnard, California, Tito Sánchez (13-0, 7 KOs) defended his WBC Continental Latin super bantamweight title by defeating the resilient Erik Ruiz (17-10-1) by decision.

Sánchez was akin to a windmill, earning his corn by throwing more than 800 punches; He sent Ruiz to the canvas in the third round and hurt him several times with continuous barrages of him throughout the fight.

The Judges awarded Sánchez the victory by unanimous decision with scores of 97-92.
