Suleimen Promotions is a company which has transformed tragedy into triumph. It was established in the Autumn of 2018 in Kazakhstan, following the death in February 2017, of promising 24 year old entrepreneur and boxing enthusiast Suleimen Akdrashev, in order to honor and forever remember his name.
In today`s talks, a spectacular promotional film, showing the cavalry of Genghis Khan with each of the ancestral warriors wielding two sabers, and an eagle taking flight. Their descendants most of who are also natural horsemen and horsewomen from early childhood….often as young as five, have a proud traditions of amateur boxing in Olympics games. And Gennady Golovkin is the most famous pro fighter from Kazakhstan, who had a spectacular amateur career, then went on to conquer the WBC middleweight crown.
Tanat and Kali explained that the aim of the company is to promote boxing, MMA and also social awareness through events. It`s already created a special annual award in association with the World Boxing Council, which applauds the sheer courage of a person overcoming adversity. This year it was won by Karen Leibowitz who overcame cancer. She is going to meet Danny Jacobs, who also defeated cancer.
The aim of the company is to produce boxing stars from all over the World. Part of this plan will be expanding to open installations including a gym and apartments from fighters in the Los Angeles area.
In spite of the global Covid 19 Pandemic, Suleimen Promotions was recently able to take part in a boxing event in Minsk, which is the capital of Belarus in which two of their boxers who have Olympic experience have now made successful pro debuts. All WBC pandemic safety guidelines were strictly observed.
Both Kali and Tanat, said that they don`t support pro boxers competing against amateurs in the Olympics because they are two different sports and this could be really harmful. Both also said they`re not in favor of the Mike Tyson Vs Roy Jones upcoming exhibition due to the age factor. Kali recalls he saw and admired both as a child.
There is a possibility that Kazakhstan could be a future destination for a World Boxing Council. One hundred and forty nationalities are blended into this huge nation, so a diverse and warm welcome awaits.
