Today we had one of the most inspiring chapters in all of our WBCTalks.
We were fortunate to have a panel of true champions. People who are not defeated or overcome by accidents, prejudices or barriers. Whatever the situation they are dealing with, they find a way to defeat it and at the same time, build a better future for a large sector of society.
Today we were speaking with Daniel Biddle, a survivor of the London 2005 terrorist attack. Daniel lost both legs during that attack. However, he managed to survive and although he had many problems, he has dedicated his life to seeking equity and fighting for the rights of people in wheelchairs. He also discussed his relationship with the WBC Wheelchair Boxing program, led by Scott Welch, a true angel from WBC Cares.
Luiz Faye, who we had the opportunity to see in a small wheelchair exhibition in Cancun, told us about the project, about the benefits it offers to the health and mind of those who practice this sport and gave us some of her good vibes and love for life.
Of course, none of this would have been possible without the cooperation, help and vision of Scott Welch. Thanks also to David Walker, WBC Cares UK representative, who is always active in supporting our social causes.
Thank you Jill, for always motivating us with your spirit to make this world a better place through boxing.
