WBC Medical Congress in Orizaba, Veracruz, Mexico
At the traditional “Coffee Tuesdays” Dr. Abraham Jarquín, coordinator of the third Mexican Boxing Medical Congress announced that this coming June 20, 21 and 22, Orizaba, Veracruz will host this third national FECOMBOX Medical Congress where during three days there will be various activities and presentations on topics of great interest to boxing.
The doctor explained that the invitation is open to doctors, referees, commission presidents and everyone who in one way or another is involved in boxing.
Among the doctors who will be participating in presentations are Dr. Soberanes Maya, Dr. Enrique Aguilar and Ricardo Monrreal who, along with their colleagues, will address neurological sequelae, concussion, oral injuries, nutrition, dehydration, and musculoskeletal injuries, to name just a few.
He added that the workshops will be validated by the Universidad of Veracruz.
Juan Carlos Pelayo, president of FECOMBOX, stressed this is a great opportunity for the country’s doctors and commissioners to update themselves and learn about the advances and treatments that certain injuries require.
