We are committed to our mission of Mental Health and Awareness, celebrating our 6th Anniversary as members of the USA Congressional Mental Health Task Force and continue to KO Bullying, Suicide and Drugs misuse.
We will continue wearing the green in May and recruit more youthful ambassadors to reach our young followers, as role models and inspirations.
So, we are doing the first, all Sports Panel at the American Association of Suicidology in April. This was a result of the many tragedies we’ve experienced during the pandemic – loss of life, love and spirit. The panel will be devoted to combat sports and we are proud of our partnership with them.
We partnered with the Feet First Foundation, a non profit organization that is the first group to bring Boxing into grade schools with Textbook Boxing. They have reached 12000 students and, through the Mental Health in Schools Act, continue to grow.
Many of our members have done their own wonderful events and seminars, to name a very few, there is Lil Oscar Cantu who teaches family values, Nancy Rodriquez who did an incredible toy drive, Mia St John helping as many homeless and troubled teens as she can.
Stephen Blea who continually helps his community, Pepe Sulaiman and his art classes, Mo and Nazia Noor, Marcie Morrow, Nathan Palmer, Tanya Alvarez, Michelle Corrales, Zena Sciarreno, Aaron Snowell, Bobby Newman, RX Water and Mike Tate who look for ways to engage and serve. Plus Christy Martin, continuing her mission of Domestic Violence Education.
So many more, but these people have gone above and beyond. And our beautiful champions, Martha, Shawn, Melisa, Jose, Ryan, Badou, Gerry, Devin, Boyd…always there when called upon to inspire and lend a hand, be it at a school or homeless shelter.
We are partnering with the Eagle Academy for Young Men of Harlem. Their emphasis is on growth and character. Education and inclusiveness are our best tools to raise the quality of everyone’s life. Our children are our future. They deserve our love and attention.
This country has been impacted by a devastating year. Our hope is that WBC Cares’ emphasis on diversity and wellbeing can make a difference.
Be kind. Be grateful We will heal together.
