WBC Cares Mexico Invites the Boxing Community to Join JUGUETON

El Juguetón is a campaign of Tv Azteca and Fundación Azteca of Grupo Salinas, directed by Mr. Jorge Garralda, in which the entire Mexican society is exhorted to join in donating toys at Tv Azteca facilities throughout Mexico.

This campaign is one of the most important and beautiful in this country and aims to generate millions of smiles in Mexican children by delivering toys to deserving children this Christmas season. This outstanding project celebrates 29 years of existence.

WBC Cares, directed in Mexico by Christiane Manzur, has been part of this important “Jugueton” campaign by TV Azteca for several years now.

Below, we remember what happened during some of the boxing family’s notable participations.

In 2018, a group of world champions led by the legend Rubén “Púas” Olivares went to Tv Azteca facilities to donate. Champions Ana María la “Guerrera” Torres, Zulina la “Loba” Muñoz, Carlos “Cañas” Zárate, Pipino Cuevas, Humberto “Chiquita” González and Francisco “Bandido” Vargas also were there donating toys.

Also in this edition, surprising all TV Azteca, the President of the World Boxing Council, Mauricio Sulaimán, presented a world champion belt in recognition and benefit of this noble cause.

In 2022, WBC Cares Mexico Director, Christiane Manzur, accompanied by the Cleto Reyes family, Humberto “Chiquita” González, Juan Hernández, Lulú Juárez, Irma García, El “Chacal” and “Chacala” and “Jaguar” Aguirre Chicanito and the WBC Fighter, attended the Village and donated dozens of toys that turned into thousands of smiles.

This 2023, David Picasso, Juan Elegante Martínez, Lulú Juárez, José Antonio Aguirre, Víctor Rabanales, WBC Power Wrestler, Juan Churritos Hernández, Narda Castro, Luis Ceja, Elizabeth Cruz, Güerito de Tepito, Jorge Zárate, Chicanito, served as ambassadors of the WBC presenting hundreds of toys in the container.

In the studio live and direct with the coordinator of the Program, Mr. Jorge Garralda, were Christiane Manzur accompanied by The Cleto Reyes Family. They spoke about the importance of this annual campaign, recognized the work and great heart of the boxers of Mexico and invited the entire Mexican society to continue donating to benefit this noble cause.

Also in this edition, Carlos Adams of Adams Footwear, joined WBC Cares and el Juguetón, donating four hundred pairs of sports shoes to children throughout Mexico. Mr. Garralda commented that this donation will be directed to children from Acapulco, who were recently hit by strong Hurricane Otis.
