Two new WBC champs crowned after a sensational night of boxing in Dubai 

Anahit Aroyan and her team are celebrating her capturing the World Boxing Council Featherweight youth title on Saturday’s sensational Grassroots/RSG boxing promotion in Dubai in front of a rapturous audience in her adopted city.

The Armenian pugilist stopped her gallant opponent, Thailand’s Thanchanok Phanan, in the 8th round of their championship contest to seal the WBC green & gold youth world championship strap.

On the same night, Iranian boxer Nastaran Fathi captured the World Boxing Council Middle East super-bantamweight title overcoming a strong challenge from Lina Kasweka to win the regional green & gold championship strap after 10 action-packed rounds of boxing. Both boxers left everything in the ring and are a credit to the sport.
