Serdar Avci and Seren Cetin donate their Green and Gold Belts to Turkey

 Via talent, work and determination, the winning of a Green and Gold Belt is the culmination of a childhood dream leading to an adult achievement,  which is the zenith of achievement realization in Boxing.  

Giving what you so cherish, as a gift for love of your country and its people is the true act of selfless love and humility that is worthy definition of a true World Boxing Council Champion. 

WBC International Silver champion Serdar Avci and Silver champion Seren Çetin, are two Turkish fighters who have decided to auction off these most precious possessions, to raise funds to help the thousands of compatriots who were victims of the February 6^th earthquake. One of the most devastating in recent years, which claimed the lives of thousands of people and has left thousands more injured and destitute. 

Serdar has expressed solidarity with his people and donated more than $60,000 dollars in food and various supplies. So welcome help, as the situation in Turkey is terrible with thousands of people increasingly affected. So, he is also auctioning off his WBC Asian silver belt, the first Green and Gold belt he won, which forever holds a unique sentimental value in his heart. Serdar has mentioned that the money from this auction will go to the needs of Turkish children.

Seren Çetin, who after defeating two-time WBC world champion Eva Voraberger, made history by becoming the first Turkish champion, is no stranger to this anguish and terrible tragedy, which is why she is also auctioning off her Belt with the hope  to raise as much money as possible and be able to help the stricken people of Turkey.

These simultaneous symbolic/practical actions, demonstrate the true values of WBC champions in an action, lighting a beacon of hope for humanity.
