Mexican Alexandro ‘Peque’ Santiago will defend his World Boxing Council bantamweight title against Japanese Junto Nakatani on February 24 in Tokyo, Japan.
The champion who is from Tijuana will make his first defense of the world title that he won against the legendary Nonito Donaire last July. ‘Peque’ (28-3-5, 14 KO’s) arrives with a streak of four consecutive victories after a defeat in November 2021.
Nakatani (25-0-0, 19 Ko’s) has already been champion in two different divisions…flyweight and super flyweight.
It will be a high-quality card, as that same night Takuma Inoue will face Jerwin Ancajas, while Kosei Tanaka will fight Christian Bacasegua.
