Saudi Arabia.- HE Turki bin Abdulmohsen Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) announced the signing of an official partnership between Riyadh Season and the World Boxing Council (WBC).
On this occasion, Alalshikh emphasized that this partnership is an extension of the efforts made by Riyadh Season to elevate the entertainment sector in the Kingdom, highlighting the significant impact the partnership will bring to sport of boxing, as the WBC is one of the most important and prestigious official organizations in the world of boxing.
He added, “Riyadh Season aims to bring people together from all around the world through a diverse and unique range of entertainment events, and this collaboration with one of the most important organizations in the sport of boxing will create an opportunity to attract a wider audience from across the globe.”
On his part, Mauricio Sulaiman, President of the World Boxing Council (WBC), said, “We are delighted to welcome Riyadh Season as a new official partner of the World Boxing Council.” He added, “Riyadh Season is massive and one of the largest entertainment events globally. Boxing has recently become associated with it, as three spectacular fights cards have taken place and a full calendar for 2024 is underway making Riyadh the recognized global capital of boxing.” He further stated, “The importance of boxing is growing, and we believe that our collaboration will generate many unique and exceptional opportunities. We look forward to participating in this growing passion in Saudi Arabia.”
SULAIMAN added “This partnership will create opportunities and lifelong memories to many around the world through the social responsibility programs which include WBC Cares programs in hospitals, orphanages, schools and communities; Awareness programs with expert panelists on Addictions, bullying, domestic violence and mental wellness.
