Relive the WBC 58th convention this week!

The annual Conventions  of the World Boxing Council have become a great tradition for the boxing family, as we not only carry out arduous work sessions, but also celebrate the joy of being able to meet once a year.

There are champions from different countries, plus friends from different continents, with experienced ring officials, industry leaders, managers, promoters and fans from all over the world.

This year we had a difficult challenge as the pandemic  has affected us on so many levels. However, the WBC took a step forward and decided to organize its first virtual Convention, showing  that united we are stronger and that it is moments like this one that define us… We are the world!

The first day was full of expectation. It tested audio tests, translation and technical challenges. Everyone involved gave their of their absolute and supreme best, to offer you the best possible event.

 From August 12 to 15, we held multiple sessions, completely open and transparent ranking meetings, voting, seminars for judges and referees, activations, live talks, exclusive interviews, and very memorable moments.

The numbers speak for themselves, our Convention  was attended by 280 world champions, the WBC Board of Governors, dozens of managers, promoters, federations and of course fans,  who for the first time had the opportunity to participate in a WBC Convention, culminating in an extraordinary number of 5,540  participants from 123 countries.
