A majestic thematic photographic exhibition of the World Boxing Council, has been inaugurated at the Acapulco Cultural Center.
It’s within the framework of its 60th Convention from November 6 to 11, at the Palacio Mundo Imperial Hotel in the Acapulco Diamante area.
In the exhibition you can see faces and images from the first cartoon contest of the WBC Heroes of Boxing. Also, a tribute to women’s boxing, depicting Mariana Juárez, Jackie Nava, Ibeth Zamora and Jelena Mrdjenovic.
And the portraits of Julio César Chávez, Manny Pacquiao, Saúl Canelo Álvarez, Sylvester Stallone, Juan Manuel Márquez the Dynamite, José and Mauricio Sulaimán, Floyd Mayweather, Óscar Rivas, Roberto Durán, Larry Holmes, Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali.
Participating in the ribbon-cutting ceremony WBC President Mauricio Sulaimán Saldívar; the Secretary of Tourism of Guerrero, Santos Ramírez Cuevas; the president of the Acapulco Tourism Promotion Trust, Manuel Negrete Arias; the Secretary of Tourism of Acapulco, David Abarca Rodríguez, WBC Vicepresident Houcine Houichi, plus former world champion of Acapulco Marcos Villasana.
Negrete commented: “The world of sports and boxing are celebrating. We will have a great week, with famous guests from many places and Acapulco. It will be in the focused gaze of the world.”
Mauricio Sulaimán thanked the authorities and sectors participating in the organization of the WBC Convention, which will be unforgettable.
