Valdez Fierro who lived through difficult moments prior to his defense, met his fan Carlos Molina and he learned that there are much more complex and painful problems. He was everso glad to have the opportunity of being there for his friend.
“Here visiting champion Carlos Molina, I invited him to my last fight and today I had the opportunity to visit him in the hospital. He is a very, very brave 15 year old who is facing a tough fight with cancer. Knowing him, has taught me much more than the blows in the ring, no problem or pain is greater than the struggle faced by children with cancer and their families.”
He added that “the lesson is to never give up, no matter how difficult the road is. You have to fight every round. Come on Carlos, you are going to win this fight.”
