1970.- At the Sports Stadium Arena in Umago, Yugoslavia, Italian Nino Benvenuti defended his WBC middleweight title by knocking out American Tom Bethea in 8 rounds.

1981.- Puerto Rican Wilfredo Benítez knocked out American Maurice Hope in 12 rounds in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this fight the WBC super welterweight title was at stake.

2009.- Japanese Toshiaki Nishioka defended his WBC super bantamweight title by knocking out Mexican Jhonny González in the third round. The match took place in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico.
