1998.- Frenchman Hassine Cherifi was crowned WBC middleweight champion by defeating American Keith Holmes, in the Astroballe de Villeurbanne, Lyon, France.
2009.- At the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, the Mexican Humberto “Zorrita” Soto defended his title by knocking out the Canadian Benoit Gaudet in 9 rounds.
2015.- The American Floyd Mayweather defeated the Filipino Manny Pacquiao in an expected fight in Las Vegas, Nevada. With this victory Mayweather won the WBC Emerald belt.
2018.- The Thai Wanheng Menayothin knocked out the Panamanian Leroy Estrada in 5 rounds at the City Hall Ground in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.
