1965.- Japanese Masahiko Harada defeated Brazilian Eder Jofre by decision, in Nagoya, Japan. In this bout the WBC bantamweight title was at stake.

1989.- Puerto Rican Carlos De Leon won the WBC cruiserweight title by knocking out British Sammy Reeson in the ninth round in London, England.

1997.- Filipino Luisito Espinosa defeated Mexican Manuel Medina by technical decision in 8 rounds in Manila, Philippines. In this fight the WBC featherweight title was at stake.

2002.- In a great fight between Mexicans, Oscar “Chololo” Larios knocked out Israel Vazquez in round 12 in Sacramento, California. In this fight the WBC super bantamweight title was at stake.

2008.- In the Centennial Auditorium of Gomez Palacio, Durango, Mexican Cristian Mijares defeated Venezuelan Alexander Muñoz by decision. With this victory, Mijares defended his WBC super flyweight title.
