1971.- Cuban José “Mantequilla” Nápoles defended his WBC welterweight title by knocking out American Billy Backus in the fourth round, in a fight held in Los Angeles, California.

1990.- Humberto “Chiquita” González knocked out Luis Monzote in the third round, defending his WBC light flyweight title. The match took place in Inglewood, California.

2007.- In a duel of Japanese warriors, Eagle Kyowa defeated Akira Yaegeshi by decision in Yokohoma, Japan. The WBC Straw-weight title was at stake in the fight.

2011.- Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. was crowned WBC middleweight champion by defeating German Sebastian Zbik by decision, in a fight held in Los Angeles, California.

2016.- In one of the best fights of the year, the Mexican warriors Francisco Vargas and Orlando Salido drew, in Carson, California. In this fight the WBC super featherweight title was at stake.

2022.- American Stephen Fulton defended his WBC super bantamweight title, defeating Daniel Roman by decision in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
