1971.-In Tokyo, Japan, local fighter Kuniaki Shibata knocked out Raul Cruz in the first round, defending his WBC featherweight title.

1972.- Venezuelan Betulio Gonzalez defended his WBC flyweight title by defeating Socrates Batoto by knockout in 4 rounds, in a fight held in Caracas, Venezuela.

1978.- In San Juan, Puerto Rico, Nicaraguan Alexis Arguello knocked out Puerto Rican Diego Alcala in the first round, defending his WBC super featherweight title.

1979.- In combat between Mexican warriors, Lupe Pintor defeated Carlos Zarate by decision in 15 rounds in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this fight the WBC bantamweight title was at stake.

1989.- Thai Sot Chitalada defeated the Korean Yong Kang Kim by decision, in Trang, Thailand. The WBC flyweight title was at stake in the match.

1991.- In an entertaining fight between Mexicans, Humberto “Chiquita” González defended his WBC light flyweight title by defeating Melchor Cob Castro. This match took place in Las Vegas, Nevada.

2017.- Canadian Adonis Stevenson knocked out Polish Andrzej Fonfara in the second round in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. With this triumph Adonis defended his WBC light heavyweight title.
