Italian Gianfranco Rosi defeated American Duane Thomas by TKO in the 7th round. With this victory he conserved the WBC super welterweight championship. It was at the Sports Palace of Geneva, Italy. The Referee was Larry O´Connell and the Judges were Miguel Donate, Sid Nathan and Jean Deswert.
