1973.- In a Japanese warriors bout, Koichi Wajima defeated Ryu Sorimachi by decision in 15 rounds, at the Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium. In this fight the WBC super welterweight title was at stake.

1975.- At the Palacio de los Deportes in Barcelona, Spanish Perico Fernández knocked out the Brazilian Joao Henrique in 9 rounds, defending his WBC super lightweight title.

1985.- Mexican Juan Meza defended his WBC super bantamweight title by knocking out American Mike Ayala in 6 rounds, in a fight held in Inglewood, California.

1985.- At the Forum in Inglewood, California, Mexican Julio César Chávez knocked out American Ruben Castillo in 6 rounds. With this victory Chávez defended his WBC super featherweight title.

2002.- Thai Pongsaklek Wonjongkam knocked out Japanese Daisuke Naito in the first round, in Khonkaen, Thailand. In this fight the WBC flyweight title was at stake.

2003.- At the Selland Arena in Fresno, California, American Floyd Mayweather defended his WBC lightweight title, defeating Dominican Victoriano Damian Sosa by decision.
