We often come home annoyed, physically and mentally tired, and the only thing we want is to eat, whatever comes our way, because many times we skip breakfast or lunch due to the continuous stress to which we are subjected, or we simply forget to eat due to the tasks we do hour after hour.
In recent years we have seen how “junk” food has become the daily intake of many people. This means that the number of people being overweight amassing obesity, high blood pressure, heart conditions, among other diseases, has increased significantly, also caused by sedentary lifestyle, lack of physical exercise and emotional problems.
It is essential and important to eat at least three meals a day, namely breakfast, lunch and dinner, incorporating sufficient portions of vegetables, protein, grains and healthy fats, not leaving aside fruits and to stay hydrated with natural water at least 2 liters of water a day.
Small daily modifications will allow you to have a healthy life and thus reduce those risk factors that are so harmful to our physical well-being and achieve a better quality of life, for example:
1. Prefer fruit or vegetables as snacks, avoid potatoes, cookies, pastries and industrialized products.
2. Prefer natural water, infusions and teas, avoid soft drinks with high amounts of sugar, artificial juices and processed coffees.
3. Prefer boiled, or cooked foods, avoid floury or fried foods.
In this way we make daily changes that will lead us to a modification in our habits to have a healthier balanced life not only with our physical appearance but also with our emotions.
