Munguía and Derevyanchenko will clash for WBC Silver title

Former Mexican world champion Jaime Munguía (41-0, 32 KOs) and Ukrainian contender Sergiy “The Technician” Derevyanchenko (14-4, 10 KOs) will clash for the World Boxing Council super middleweight Silver title this Saturday, June 10 at the Toyota Arena, Ontario, California.

The fight, which is presented by Golden Boy in association with Zanfer Boxing, will stream live on DAZN.

“Derevyanchenko is a great fighter and a great warrior. Without a doubt, I think this will be a very good fight. A win against Derevyanchenko would be very good for our career,” commented Munguía.

“I feel like all fights are big challenges. This June 10, we have a very strong fighter in front of us. I hope to see a Derevyanchenko who is hungry to win. He has been in some close fights with great fighters like Jacobs, Golovkin and Charlo.

“This is going to be a great fight as well, but I look forward to getting the knockout and walking out of the ring as the best man standing.”

Derevyanchenko commented:

“I am a tough fighter and I am considered one of the best fighters in the division. If Munguía’s team has big plans to make him a superstar, he’s going to have to fight the likes of me and win. It definitely won’t be an easy fight for any of us.

“I hope Munguía is at his best and strongest, because I will also be at my best and ready to win.”
