Miguel Angel Gonzalez is winning the fight of his life

This morning the boxing family experienced a great party, a poignant  celebration that reminds us that the will is stronger than any obstacle.

And it is that, the traditional “Coffee Tuesdays” moved to the Hacienda Nueva Vida Rehab Clinic to congratulate the great former world champion Miguel Ángel Gonzales who today finishes his rehabilitation treatment and leaves the clinic as a new man, who managed to heal physical and emotional wounds.

A fight that led him to challenge his own limits, that sent him to the canvas but that his determination made him to get up; However, Miguel was not alone in this fight, because his parents and his two beautiful daughters were there, in his corner, but also some men to whom he owes a large part of this victory, of course we are referring to the director of Hacienda Nueva Vida Aaron Silva and WBC President, Mauricio Sulaiman.

The Hacienda Nueva Vida addiction clinic is that light of hope for hundreds of young people who, due to various situations, have fallen into alcohol or drugs.

Aaron Silva stressed  that the struggle of these young people must belong to everyone, because we are a society that must make them visible and from the trench in which we find ourselves.

To conclude, Aaron thanked Miguel Ángel’s family for uniting to help him and he

become a new man, free from addictions and owner of his life again.

For Mauricio Sulaimán, this day is very special because it is to recognize the struggle of a man who did not let himself be defeated, who fell into the hell of addictions but who brought out his warrior spirit to give a KO to addictions and thus win the most important fight of his life, becoming an example that “when you want you can” and that there is nothing greater than faith and hope.

Miguel, who was applauded by everyone in attendance, but especially by his family who never thought of throwing in the towel; he was emphatic in saying that this enemy does not respect age, sex, religion or social level; however, the important thing is to recognize yourself and above all to accept the help.

Excited and extremely grateful, Miguel recognized himself as a new man, who broke the chains of addiction but above all who has a new mission in life: to help all those who have fallen into this hell, bringing them hope and showing them that YES you can. .

Visibly moved, the champion’s parents and daughters only had words of thanks for all those who made the recovery of his son possible, but especially the top manager of the WBC, Mauricio Sulaimán, and Aaron Silva, director of the clinic.

In this celebration, Miguel was not only accompanied by his blood family but also by his boxing family, including former champion Carlos Cuadras, the WBC monarch, Lourdes Juárez, the women’s boxing icon Marina Juárez and the great Carlos Zarate, who He dedicated some emotional words to him with which he recognized Miguel’s value because the fight with addictions is a war with the most difficult rival: oneself.

Finally, and before crossing that door, colleagues from the Hacienda Nueva Vida clinic gave him a sincere farewell, but not before being recognized by the WBC and his boxing family with a green and gold belt as a life champion.
