Mariana Juarez Vs Matsidisho Mokebisi for WBC Silver 

This coming Friday, Mariana Juarez returns to the ring in a fight that she considers as one of the most important of her career, beginning the conclusion of the four time Green and Gold Empress` last year as pro.

A fight that has generated great interest among fans because the Mexican will be fighting for the WBC super bantamweight silver belt against the South African Matsidisho ‘The Tiger’ Mokebisi, a dangerous rival who comes to Mexico with the firm conviction of taking the belt home.

Mariana spoke with the specialized press at Martes de Café and was clear in saying that this will be her last year as a boxer and that is why she has worked so hard in the gym to arrive in the best condition for this fight, because if there is one thing she wants, it is to become champion of the most important organization again and retire as champion.

Juárez claimed that she has had to go through several processes to get to this point where she is convinced that she has nothing to prove as her legacy is already written in the pages of the history of women’s boxing, so today she just wants to enjoy of this last year as a boxer.

She assured that this is not the end but rather a closure of her career in the ring because if there is one thing she is sure of, it is that she will never leave the sport.

For Matsidisho it is an honor to face one of the great icons of women’s boxing; However, her dream is to wear the Green and Gold,  so despite the respect and admiration she has for Mariana, she will not hesitate the moment the bell rings.

Finally, she thanked everyone who has made it possible for her to be here and, in a very special way, for welcoming her in Mexico city.
