Erickson Lubin and Sebastian Fundora fight on April 9th at the Virgin Hotels Theater in Las Vegas for the interim World Boxing Council super-welterweight title on a card presented by PBC and to be broadcast on SHOWTIME.
The winner between Lubin, 26, and Fundora, 24, will soon have to face the winner of the rematch between Jermell Charlo and Brian Castaño.
Southpaw Lubin (24-1, 17 KOs), of Orlando, Fla., is riding a six-fight winning streak into this fight with Fundora.
Lubin most recently knocked out former champion Jeison Rosario in the sixth round on June 26 in Atlanta.
The 6 foot – 6 inches Fundora will have the toughest test of his career against Lubin.
The tall southpaw improved his record to 18 wins, without loss, when he defeated Spaniard Sergio Garcia by unanimous decision in an entertaining elimination bout on December 5 in Los Angeles.
