More than 100 attendees at the Mexico City Elementary School “Investigacion Educativa” were part of the activities designed to identify, understand and diffuse Bullying.
Elementary students, parents, and teachers were part of the KO Bullying Talk led by Beka Romero, leader and spokesperson for the program in Mexico, and Professional Boxer Gustavo “Dorado” Rivera Rio, a great prospect of Mexican boxing with 5 fights won, 3 by knockout.
In addition to talking about bullying, the program aims for attendees to learn from the guest boxer about his sports achievements, experiences, and teachings. Gustavo said: “The most difficult thing about being a boxer is the sacrifices you have to make to be in weight; however, with discipline and desire you can get where you want.”
Finally, between photos and autographs, the mission of the program is fulfilled, positively impacting the great social problems that schools face; Likewise, together we create awareness to prevent bullying in schools in a dynamic and effective way.
KO Bullying started activities in January of this year and since then, it has reached more than 1,000 kids from 7 different schools.
