Mexican Julio César Martínez will defend his World Boxing Council flyweight belt against Venezuelan Angelino Córdova on March 30 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“King” Martínez is 20-2 with 15 knockouts, while his rival Córdova remains undefeated with a record of 18-0-1 with 12 knockouts.
Martínez comes to this fight after defeating the tough Spanish fighter Samuel Carmona, by majority decision, then he defended the title against Ronal Bastista and now he will try to make one more defense against Córdova.
Currently, Martínez is part of “Team Canelo” and is trained by Eddy Reynoso.
Córdova, who is unbeaten as a professional, comes into this fight after defeating Puerto Rican Angel Acosta.
This fight was going to take place in December but due to visa problems it had to be postponed.
