This Friday Mariana Juárez returns to the ring in one of the most crucial fights of her career.
It’s the beginning of the closing of a cycle as the multiple Green and Gold World Champion announced that this will be her last year as a professional boxer.
Juarez will be facing South African Matsidisho ‘The Tiger’ Mokebisi with the super bantamweight silver belt at stake.
Juarez claimed that she has had to go through several rigorous processes to get to this point, but she is convinced that she has nothing to prove, as her legacy is already written in the pages of the history of women’s boxing. So today she only wants to enjoy this last year as a boxer.
For Matsidisho it is an honor to face one of the great icons of women’s boxing; However, her dream is to wear Green and Gold, so despite the respect and admiration she has for Mariana she will fight flat out when the bell rings.
Today both fighters presented the official weigh-in, passing it satisfactorily:
Mariana Juárez: 121.9 Lbs.
Matsidisho Mokebisi: 121.2 Lbs.
Everything is poised for this coming Friday at the Hipódromo de las Américas Forum in CDMX to experience a great night of boxing.
The card is presented by Latin KO Promotions, directed by Oswaldo Küchle, in association with Cancún Boxing by Pepe Gómez and Boxing Time by Memo Rocha, and will be broadcast in Mexico through Channel 5 on Box Televisa at 10 o’clock at night.
