Ivana Habazin, from Croatia, became the new World Boxing Council welterweight world champion, by defeating Hungarian Kinga Magyar via UD.
The fight was at the KC Drazen Petrovic in Zagreb, Croatia and to achieve victory, Habazin utilized a firm defense mixed with a constant attack, to control the action for most of the fight, while Magyar sought a face to face, toe to toe confrontation.
The Judges scored it 97-93, 99-92 and 98-92 so Habazin won a unanimous victory. Ivana improves her record to 23 wins with 5 losses and 7 knockouts. Magyar left the ring with a record of 14-5, 4 KO’s.
