Ishikawa’s KO win for interim WBC title

This Friday at the Singmanassak Muaythai School, Pathum Thani, Thailand, Japanese Umi Ishikawa (12-3, 10 kos) won the interim straw title of the World Boxing Council, by knocking out Thai Sothita Sitthichai (10-3 kos) in the second round.

The two fighters had already met last August, with Ishikawa winning in the third round to claim the WBC Straw Silver title.

On this occasion, only two rounds were enough for Uni to demonstrate her superiority in the ring by knocking out the Thai fighter in a forceful manner.

Ishikawa, who showed her quality and strength once again, hopes to soon gain a fight with the absolute champion of the division, North American Seniesa Estrada.
