World Boxing Council super lightweight champion Devin “The Dream” Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) and former world champion Ryan García (24-1, 20 KOs) will fight with all their might on Saturday, April 20 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Devin Haney, an undefeated and accomplished champion with a perfect record of 31 victories, managed to capture the undisputed 135-pound world title, then jump up a division and become WBC super lightweight champion.
While Ryan García, who was already WBC interim lightweight champion, has become one of the biggest names in boxing and, at only 25 years old, has burst onto the world scene.
Ryan is one of the most dynamic and exciting boxers working today. His fast-paced style, powerful left hook and long list of knockouts have impressed boxing fans.
Both fighters have a great rivalry, as they have already fought 6 times as amateurs, achieving 3 victories each.
The two fighters are each undergoing a grinding preparation, Devin with Dad Bill Haney, who has led him on the path to success during his magnificent career.
Ryan is training with renowned trainer Derrick James, with whom he already obtained an important victory in December of last year against Oscar Duarte.
Haney vs. García is one of the most anticipated fights of the year and has all the ingredients to become a classic.
The fight card is presented by Golden Boy Promotions in association with Haney Promotions, KingRy Promotions and Matchroom Boxing and will be broadcast live on DAZN.
