Ngumbu (38-8, 14 KOs) notched the most important triumph of his career, with a 12-round majority decision over the previously unbeaten Yoann Kongolo in May of last year.
Gvozdyk-Ngumbu will be broadcast live on ESPN and ESPN Deportes at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT.
This Friday, both fighters presented the official weigh in registering Gvozdyk 174.7 pounds and Ngumbu 174.3 pounds
