Deja vu for Kenia

World Boxing Council interim flyweight champion Kenia Enriquez will attempt to make her first world title defense against Mary Salinas on Saturday, February 3 in San Nicolas de los Garza, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

The fight is presented by TM Boxing and will be broadcast on Channel 6 Multimedios. Both fighters already faced each other in 2017, with Enriquez emerging as the winner.

“I am very happy with TM Boxing for this opportunity, what I want is to compete and show what I have, now I face Mary Salinas, we have a past in 2017, we will have a good fight this Saturday. I have prepared thoroughly and on Saturday I will give everything in the ring, I have very big dreams and I want to be the first Mexican to unify titles in this division,” commented Kenia Enríquez.

Salinas, who wants to take revenge to take over the title in dispute, commented:
“I am very happy for this opportunity. I have a pending account with her and I know my ability as a boxer and that is why I am ready to demonstrate the work that has been done leading to this day.”
