In the dynamic city of Dubai, innovation knows no bounds. Boxing and business have always gone hand in hand – but one promotion in the UAE is adding a fresh twist on the combination by throwing cryptocurrency into the mix.
Enter Crypto Fight Night (CFN), a ground-breaking event conceived in the Covid Lockdown as a social experiment to bridge the gap between virtual connections and real-life interactions within the crypto community – through a shared passion for boxing.
The promotion, now in it’s fourth incarnation – “CFN4” – will take place in Dubai’s illustrious La Perle venue on April 19th.
Rahul Suri, founder of Crypto Fight Night, explains the genesis of the promotion: “As members of the crypto community, we wanted to create a platform where people could come together and participate in an activity held to the highest standards of professionalism; health, and safety — as well as providing a great opportunity for individuals to meet in person.”
From its inception, CFN aimed to uphold premium quality, aligning itself with international and Emirati partners committed to top quality. “If you see the fighters who are participating or the sponsors and partners; they’re all leading institutional players from around the world.
We definitely didn’t want to create something that lacked professionalism and standards in any way – and that’s why we started off with the WBC from day one,” Suri emphasized.
With this ethos for excellence as a guiding mission, partnering with the World Boxing Council (WBC) was the logical choice for CFN, ensuring the promotion’s adherence to boxing’s highest regulatory standards.
“It has been such a great experience working with the WBC and having this exclusive relationship where we ensure we do our part to uphold the health, safety, and regulatory standards of the show.
In exchange, we get to promote the WBC; not only for the Crypto World Championship, which is phenomenal – but also for the other regional titles that have taken place on CFN over the years.
“We’ve had WBC Middle East titles on the show thrice, the WBC Asia Silver, and WBC Latin,” Suri noted – highlighting the international outlook of the promotion.
At its core, CFN is more than just a boxing event; it’s a celebration of community, resilience, and personal growth. “It’s the perfect blend of crossover boxing where we can showcase both local and regional talent from a professional standpoint and also inspire members of the crypto community who are still learning the sport to continuously work on bettering themselves as well.” Rahul reflected.
The special WBC commemorative “Crypto Belt” has been created for the occasion, embodying the values of the promotion; enterprise, energy and entertainment.
As CFN prepares for its upcoming event on April 19th, Rahul Suri shared what people can expect from CFN4: “On April 19, the audience will witness some of the best talents from around the region compete at the highest level against their opponents for both the glory of world titles – and the opportunity to step up and prepare for a title.”
But CFN isn’t just about the more seasoned athletes vying for glory; it’s also about empowering individuals to embark on transformative journeys. “Those in attendance will see a number of people who are not from the boxing sport itself begin their journeys within the sport; people who decided six months ago to really make a difference in their lives and start to better their physical health and well-being,” Suri added.
In essence, Crypto Fight Night serves as a testament to the power of community, innovation, and collaboration. By merging the worlds of cryptocurrency and boxing, CFN has created a platform where dreams are realized, connections are forged, and champions are born.
Crypto Fight Night 4 (#CFN4) takes place at the La Perle, Dubai on April 19th.
