Charlie and Mauricio Jr work the pads

Charlie Hall and Mauricio Sulaiman Jr were clobbering the pads for an hour in the Gym of the Palacio Mundo Imperial Hotel which is the site of WBC 60 Convention.

Guided by boxing legend Jeff Fenech and skilled, versatile coach Basil Nassis on the pads, the two took it in turns to be more tempered than going hammer and tongues, also listening about sage advice about combinations footwork and getting proper leverage into each punch.

Charlie who is a corporate boxer, and the WBC`s Anti Bullying Ambassador, raises money, particularly for childrens` charities, was presented with a special WBC Belt at the cocktail evening.

He hopes to compete against Canelo to raise money for a Mexican childrens` hospital and Devin Haney to raise money for cancer research saying no one knows the future, but hopefully this on the cards.

Charlie also says we are all the same, everyone should be treated with dignity and this is why he fights against bullying, explaining: “I want to enable kids to have their voice and their say.”

Today Charlie will present the WBC Governors with thirty six toy koala bears as a gift of hope.
