Mexican undisputed world champion Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez made the official presentation of the third edition of the “No Golf No Life” tournament, which took place this day, and was satisfied to continue his support for this sport that he is passionate about.
The undisputed champion was accompanied by Andrés Sulaimán, representing the World Boxing Council; Marcelo Bremer, son of businessman Carlos Bremer, among others.
“Canelo” Álvarez Golf Tournament took place at the Bosque Real golf club to head the tournament in which he was accompanied by businessmen, opinion leaders, sports and entertainment personalities.
“Thank you all for being here. For me it is a privilege to be with you, this started as ‘let’s see what happens event’. For me it is an honor to be able to count on your help, to do my part, to be able to help sport,” Canelo said.
Considered one of the greatest leaders in Mexican sport today and especially in the world of boxing, where he has been champion in four divisions, Canelo assured that sport is essential for children´s development.
“Sport is something fundamental that must be focused on children, I think there are times when they may not become champions in something, but it is training for their professional life,” Canelo added.
Canelo was in charge of inaugurating the third edition of the “No Golf No Life” tournament, in which was attended as a guest of honor the former number one golfer, Lorena Ochoa.
The former golfer took advantage of her attendance at the tournament to give a clinic to children from the First Tee México foundation, who made the most of her visit.
