UFC Star Tyson Pedro is preparing to debut in professional boxing by taking on Kris Terzievski in an all Australian clash for the vacant WBC International Bridgerweight Title at the Hordern Pavilion, Sydney on June 12th.

Tyson has been sparring with the formidable Jai Opetaia in preparation for this bout and is working with diligence and expert help to adapt to boxing. His opponent is Kristofer Terzievski who is the reigning Australian heavyweight champion. Southpaw Kris 12-1-2, 9KO`s is slimming down for this Bridgerweight championship opportunity and at the Grand Press Conference he said: “I look forward to showing my skills. I`ve got golden aspirations of my own. He comes to throw punches, but there`s a lot more to it.”
Tyson Pedro said: “There is no pressure on me and I want to put on a great show for the Boxing Community.”
Four times World Champion Danny Green of Green Machine Promotions, who is Co-Founder and Director of Green Machine Boxing said: “Kris is ranked number five in the WBC Bridgerweight ratings and Tyson Pedro wanted to get to the top as soon as possible, so he`s called him out. Here we are and it`s going to be very exciting.
“Tyson Pedro has only one goal in mind and that`s to win his professional boxing debut. It`s a very audacious challenge that he has set himself. He`s been sparring Jai Opetai, who`ll himself soon be fighting in Saudi Arabia, so Jai is in the peak of his training camp. Tyson really had to dig deep, showing tremendous character and Jai taught him some valuable lessons about boxing.
“The setting is the Hordern Pavilion which is this year celebrating its centenary. For this fight Tyson Pedro has one goal and that`s to break down Kris Terzievski, who has his own plans, so it`s going to be a very exciting match up when the bell goes.”
