Two of Britain’s best middleweights will collide this Saturday, February 10, when undefeated star Hamzah Sheeraz defends his WBC silver middleweight title in a 12-round duel against former British champion Liam Williams at London’s Copper Box Arena.
Sheeraz (18-0, 14 KOs) has dazzled in his almost seven years as a professional and has a streak of 12 knockout victories. He won the European title in November 2019 with a sixth-round TKO over Ryan Kelly and has successfully defended that belt four times. Sheeraz had an active 2022, a 3-0 campaign that included a second-round stoppage of River Wilson-Bent for the Commonwealth title. Last August, he defeated the previously unbeaten Dmytro Mytrofanov in two rounds. Williams (25-4-1, 20 KOs) is 2-1 since he came up short against Demetrius Andrade for the 2021 world middleweight title.
This Friday the official weigh-in of the evening took place:
Hamzah Sheeraz 159.4 lbs
Liam Williams 159 lbs
Sheeraz-Williams, Noakes-Sylvester and additional fights on the card will air live and exclusively in the United States on ESPN+ at 2 p.m. ET/11AM m. Pacific time.
