Angela Nolasco presented with the WBC Silver Title

In a memorable “Coffee Tuesday” new WBC Silver champion Angela Nolasco was recognized by WBC President Mauricio Sulaimán, with the belt she won by defeating Jackie Calvo in a thrilling slugfest, which she gained by UD.

Ángela Nolasco, known as “Chuiquita” has been boxing for more than ten years, a sport that she started thanks to the motivation of watching women’s boxing Saturday after Saturday.

The new Silver monarch who made her professional debut at the tender age of 17, today saw one of her dreams take shape, to have and hold a title from the World Boxing Council, which admires as the most important of all.

“I have no words to express what this belt represents for me, it is seeing all my effort reflected in something tangible, in a belt that all of us who box dream of.

“Today I want to enjoy this triumph, defend my title; however, my goal is to win the absolute title and be the world champion in the flyweight division. I’m not in a hurry but my steps today are aimed at that very goal.”
