All set for Adames vs. Macias Montiel  

This Saturday, October 8 at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California, the Dominican Carlos Adames fights Mexican Juan Macias Montiel, with the interim middleweight title endorsed by the World Boxing Council at stake.

Adames from Elías Piña, Dominican Republic, has a record of 21 wins against one loss with 16 knockouts.

On the other hand, Montiel has a record of 23 wins, all by knockout, five losses and two draws.

This exciting bout will be part of a card headlined by undefeated World Boxing Council Interim Super welterweight Champion Sebastian Fundora facing former world title challenger Carlos Ocampo.

This Friday both warriors passed the official weigh-in. Adames registered 159.3 pounds, while Montiel was 160 pounds.
