A day like today, Mairis Briedis was crowned WBC champion

In Dortmund, Germany, Mairis Briedis from Latvia, won the World Boxing Council cruiserweight title, after beating the German of Serbian origin, Marco Huck, by unanimous decision, in what was an exciting fight. The scorecards were 116-111, 117-110, and 118-109.

The referee was Jay Nady; and as judges acted Massimo Barrovecchio, Guido Cavalleri and Eddie Pappoe.
