1963.- At the Liberty Stadium in Ibadan, Nigeria, local fighter Dick Tiger knocked out American Gene Fullmer in 7 rounds, winning the WBC middleweight title.

1982.- Puerto Rican Wilfredo Gomez knocked out Mexican Roberto Rubaldino in the eighth round, winning the WBC super bantamweight title. The match took place in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

1985.- Puerto Rican Héctor “Macho” Camacho defeated Mexican José Luis Ramírez in Las Vegas, Nevada. The WBC lightweight title was at stake in this match.

1986.- Puerto Rican Carlos De León defended his WBC cruiserweight title by knocking out  American Michael Greer. The match took place in Giardini Naxos, Italy.

2006.- Mexican Omar Niño defeated Hawaiian Brian Viloria by decision in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this fight the WBC light flyweight title was at stake.

2011.- Japanese Kazuto Ioka defeated Mexican Juan Hernandez by decision in Tokyo, Japan. In this fight the WBC straw title was disputed.
