Clase y Talento wins purse bid: Julio César Martínez vs. McWilliams Arroyo II – WBC Flyweight Championship

In 2021, Martínez and Arroyo clashed in a contest that prematurely ended in round three being declared a NO CONTEST, after an accidental clash of heads.

Prior to that both visited the canvas, leaving expectations at the highest level towards this second meeting.

The fight for the absolute Flyweight Championship Julio César Martínez vs. McWilliams Arroyo has been postponed on several occasions due to injuries and other factors suffered by both fighters. Now everything is ready to find out who is the best exponent at 112 pounds.

Today the official purse bid was held to obtain the rights  to organize  Julio César Martínez vs. McWilliams Stream II.

Clase y Talento obtained the rights by bidding 345,000 USD. The division of the purse will be the following:

Martinez: 65%

Stream: 35%

For this fight, the WBC will apply its purse division rule to fights that are organized via purebid, as 10% of the total bid will be reserved to be paid as a bonus to the winner of the fight.
