Symbology of the Puebla / Jalisco Belt for Canelo/Ryder

On May 6th Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, will defend his WBC super middleweight world title against British John Ryder at the iconic Akron Stadium in Zapopan, Jalisco.

The Victor will be lauded and applauded with the Puebla / Jalisco belt, a true jewel of crafts from both states, a mixture of bright colors of vivid landscapes, cultures and traditions.

This BEAUTIFUL recognition was created by the brilliant artisans of the Talavera de la Reyna workshop who used two of the most important craft techniques in the State of Puebla, talavera and embroidery.

At first glance, the belt is a riot of color, with hues ranging from fiery reds and oranges to cool minty blues and lush greens; with intricate details that make it really special with symbolism depicting the most iconic of the states of Puebla and Jalisco.
