1972.- Cuban José “Mantequilla” Nápoles knocked out British Ralph Charles in 7 rounds at the Empire Pool, Wembley. With this victory Napoles defended his WBC welterweight title.
1976.- In the Pavillon Paris, France, Colombian Rodrigo Valdez knocked out Moroccan Max Cohen in 4 rounds, defending his WBC middle title.
1984.- At the Rajadamnern Stadium in Bangkok, Thai Payao Pooltarat knocked out Mexican Guty Espadas, defending his WBC super flyweight title.
1993.- Korean Jungil Byun was crowned WBC bantamweight champion by defeating Mexican Víctor Rabanales by decision. The match took place at the Hyundai Hotel in Gyeongju, South Korea.
1998.- Atlantic City, New Jersey, British Lennox Lewis knocked out American Shannon Briggs in 5 rounds. The WBC heavyweight title was at stake in this match.
2009.- In Plaza de Toros de Tijuana, Mexican Humberto “Zorrita” Soto knocked out American Antonio Davis in 4 rounds, defending his WBC super featherweight title.
2015.- American Gary Russell Jr, conquered the WBC featherweight title by knocking out Mexican Jhonny González in 4 rounds in Las Vegas, Nevada.
