With the rise of gender ideology and perspective around the world, the presence of women in society is very evident, holding important positions and carrying out activities in which they stand out for their merits.
Boxing cannot be left behind. From being considered a sport exclusively for men in ancient times, today the female presence is standing out more and more, and the number of women boxers has increased, as well as girls and adolescents joining the ranks of this sport every day. They want to outstandingly emulate the path that their predecessors have opened for them.
Women have not had an easy path in boxing, however, the fact that many have not given up along the way, has opened up endless possibilities and the landscape in women’s boxing is changing. That today is an established reality and fact.
Women are already headlining fights and are being praised for their performance in the ring. Things are leveling out and many promoters are realizing that they continue to grow, supporting many of them and therefore motivating those who are just beginning their careers.
It is very important that organizations such as the World Boxing Council continue to have gender perspective in boxing, to care for, protect and preserve the health of female boxers, holding exclusive Conventions for them and with this, promote and preserve the career of all those women who have the aim and ambition of becoming world champions.
