On the Road to MGM 100^Th Card!

The boxing community combines  to celebrate the 100th card at a historic venue for our sport: The MGM in Las Vegas, Nevada.

On June 15, MGM will celebrate its 100th card and will star Gervonta Davis vs. Frank Martin + David Benavidez vs. Oleksandr Gvozdyk with the interim WBC Lt. Heavyweight belt at stake, for this reason the World Boxing Council joins the celebration of this important stage of our sport.

This venue opened its doors to boxing on January 29, 1994 with the card starring Julio César Chávez vs. Frankie Randall; That night the Mexican would visit the canvas for the first time and would subsequently lose his undefeated record.

Mike Tyson, Oscar de La Hoya, Canelo Álvarez, Floyd Mayweather, Tyson Fury, Deontay Wilder, Marco Antonio Barrera, Erik Morales, Manny Pacquiao, George Foreman, Miguel Cotto, Evander Holyfield, among many others have punctuated their brilliant history in this historic setting and so special place for the boxing family.

Today, our President Mauricio Sulaimán, joined a panel of experts made up of: Stepehen Espinoza, Bill Caplan, George Willis, Dan Rafael, Barak and Akin Reyes, to talk about the best fights, great moments and unforgettable experiences they have lived in the MGM in Las Vegas.
