We have received the very sad news of the passing of our dear friend José Luis Ibarra.

Doctor Ibarra was a WBC member and very close friend, always working diligently for the good of the boxing community. He was a ring doctor on many  cards, as well as a supervisor.

Our so valued friend Jose Luis,  was a worthy recipient of several recognitions from the World Boxing Council, for the great work he selflessly carried out. Jose Luis Ibarra was dedicated to medicine and to life.  He was a supreme carer.

José Luis will always be remembered as an honest, decent and wonderful person committed to his work, but even more so, as a great human being, who made a difference.  A humanitarian. His kindness, his gentle smile, his gift of friendship,  meant he was so well liked, admired and respected. This is a loss of huge magnitude.

The entire WBC family and its President Mauricio Sulaimán, ask God to greet his newest Angel.  We send our most heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathy to  Wife  Lucy, family and so friends the World over, who thought the World of him.

Rest in peace Dear Friend. We already miss you so much, but we will meet again. This is not the end.
