Lawrence Okolie crowned WBC champion

British Lawrence Okolie won the World Boxing Council bridgerweight title this Friday, May 24 at the Podpromie Arena in Rzeszow, Poland, on a card presented by Knockout Promotions in association with Boxxer; which was broadcast by Sky Sports and ESPN KNOCKOUT.

Okolie came out more aggressive from the first bell, using his greater reach and showing that he also has great punching power.

Rosanzki visited the canvas three times in the first round before Referee Daniel Van de Wiele decided to stop the fight.

A former British, Commonwealth, European and WBO cruiserweight champion, Okolie is now a two-division champion having captured the WBC Bridger title.
