Pole Position and raising the roof for FIREWORKS!  Okolie and Rozanski face to face 

Lawrence Okolie will challenge Lukasz Rozanski for the World Boxing Council bridgerweight title this Friday, May 24 at the Podpromie Arena in Rzeszow, Poland, on a card presented by Knockout Promotions in association with Boxxer; and which will be broadcast on Sky Sports.

Okolie, a former British, Commonwealth, European and WBO cruiserweight champion, returns to action to face the undefeated Rozanski in  the Lion`s Den… the champion’s home.

Rozanski, who has a knockout rate of fourteen of his fifteen wins, is coming off a first-round knockout of previously undefeated Alen Babic in April.

Both fighters were face to face in a press conference prior to the fight they will hold. This is what they had to say:

“I’m fighting in my own backyard, in my city, fighting a former champion. It is a fantastic fight, for moments like these I have trained hard all my life.”

We have had a great training camp to play a great role in front of my people. Expect fireworks on Friday.”

I can and I will focus on the actual fight plan we have for this fight. Rozanski is a good-sized man. He is a great man. If you are going to face a world champion who has a 90% KO rate, you must do a lot of preparation. My confidence is through the roof so… expect  a new champion on Friday.”
